We point out as many interesting points as possible for you to see or experience. The route is marked with cycling nodes but is also suitable for walkers. The starting point is in Wommels, but you can start anywhere on the route that suits you best.

Wommels
Every year, Wommels hosts the Freulepartij, a highlight on the village's calendar. You can visit the Tsiispakhuis, located in a historic cheese warehouse. Through old dairy tools, cheese boards with 'cheese' in the cheese attic, and historical film footage, you are transported to the time of butter and cheese making on the farm and the first milk factories. Hospitality: Grand cafe It Reade Hynder

Skrok is a meadow bird area in the Friese Greidhoeke, where you can still see the old, herb-rich ditch land. The wet grasslands full of flowers and insects provide a perfect breeding ground for numerous meadow birds in spring. You can observe it all from the bird-watching hut.

Easterein
Noteworthy is the Martinikerk, a church built in the 14th century, situated on a moated elevation. A tuff stone predecessor was built in the middle of the 11th century. Hospitality: Restaurant Bergsma Easterein

Reahus
The history of Reahûs is closely related to the history of the Roman Catholic parish and the Reformation. The village originated in the 17th century as a hamlet near Oosterend after the Reformation. During that time, Catholics were forbidden to openly practice their faith. So, in 1709, believers took refuge in a clandestine church, a house on the Slypstervaart on the Oude Pôle. After this hiding place was transformed into a church with red roof tiles, it was called the Red House. Only at the end of the 19th century, when Roman Catholic churches were allowed to be built again, the current neo-Gothic church, Sint Martinus, was erected (1892), and several houses were built around this church. Hospitality: the terrace at camping De Finne

Boazum
In the Sint Martinuskerk in Boazum, a unique fresco was discovered during a restoration. The church, dating back to the 12th century, features an image of a beardless Jesus, which is quite exceptional. The church itself is one of the oldest Romanesque churches in Friesland. Hospitality: cafe De Boazumermjitte

De Dille Easterwierrm
Only the horse stable remains from the former inn De Dille, which is now inhabited. There is also a tea garden and a mini-campsite. (Hospitality)

Wiuwert
The church houses a burial vault with mummies, and the guides can tell you the interesting story.

Skillaard
In Skillaard, there is a tower with a cemetery containing graves of Canadian soldiers who died in World War II near Mantgum when their plane was shot down. The propeller is displayed at the information board at the entrance of the cemetery.

Mantgum
Via the Seerp van Galema, with beautiful stately houses, you head towards Jorwert.

Jorwert
"How God Disappeared from Jorwert," the book written by Geert Mak, brings many to Jorwert to see this village with their own eyes. Hospitality: It Wapen van Baarderadeel

Weidum
Weidum is a true kaats village, and in the village center, there is a charming kaats field where the first kaats tournament of the Kaatsbond is organized every year. Before leaving the village towards Bears, you can turn right for a visit to Hospitality: hotel and restaurant Weidumerhout.

Bears
From a distance, you can already see the mirage of the former Uniastate. In the church, there is a visitor center where you can get all the information about it. In summer, there are also changing exhibitions.

Baard
Hospitality: cafe De Kater

Easterlittens
In Easterlittens, on the square, you will find "it Pealtsje van Easterlittens," keeping alive the memory of a shoemaker from Easterlittens who dreamed that there was a treasure for him on a bridge in Amsterdam. You can listen to the entire story in the Greihoeke app from Mear Fryslan. Hospitality: Herbergh Het Wapen van Friesland and Pavilion of camping It Kruswetter.

Points of Attention
Midway, you could shorten the route by cycling from Mantgum to Baard, passing by the entrance of the organic farm shop "Op de Him."
