Poetic Anchorage
MB63 is a MarBoei located in the Hegemer Mar (Heegermeer), between Heeg and Woudsend.
This buoy serves as a poetic anchorage on the Frisian waters and is associated with the above poem by poet Ellen Deckwitz. The poem is inspired by the location: the Hegemer Mar.
MarBoei
A MarBoei is a plastic buoy with a large eye on top. The eye allows you to thread a rope through it to secure your boat. Mooring to a MarBoei is easy, as only one line needs to be attached. You are allowed to stay there for a maximum of 24 hours, offering complete privacy. Both large and small vessels can moor at such a buoy, making it accessible for everyone. However, mooring at a MarBoei is different from mooring at the shore, mainly due to the wind. Watch this instructional video for guidance.
Multiple MarBoeien can be found on the Heegermeer. For more locations and information about MarBoei, visit here: MarBoei - Locations.
