Hylkema Dairy Farm is located on the outskirts of Oudega (SWF).
For several years, this farm has transitioned to organic farming. They also engage in agricultural nature management, making an effort to consider the needs of meadow birds. For instance, a wetland area was created for birds to forage.
Leftover feed, used straw with manure from the barns, and plant waste are used as fertilizers on the land. This practice benefits soil life and the birds.
Since 2018, Hylkema's milk tap has been open. You can find the milk tap in the wooden house by the barn. Here, you can get fresh organic milk from Hylkema every day from 8:00 to 20:00!
