Take a look
Terherne is a true Chameleon village on the edge of the Sneekermeer.
Terherne (Dutch: Terhorne) is, as it were, an island in the Sneekermeer, completely surrounded by water. On one side, you'll find the Sneekermeer, and on the other side, the Terhernster ponds. Due to this central water location, Terherne is an ideal starting point for a water sports vacation. You can enjoy the open water or sail to Sneek. Additionally, cycling offers various options, such as exploring the nearby villages of Akkrum or Goingarijp.
In Terherne, you can take beautiful walks along the authentic houses in the harbor, or relax on one of the terraces by the water. Terherne is known as the Chameleon village, inspired by the adventures of Hielke and Sietse – a must-visit destination for families!
