Take a look

The Jolderenbos is one of the oldest forests of Gaasterland. The first trees were planted here more than 300 years ago! The forest is located southwest of Oudemirdum on a ridge and, like most forests in the region, was laid out by esquire Van Swinderen. In 1925 the forest came into the possession of the municipality of Gaasterland, which sold it to Staatsbosbeheer in 1976. In the forest you will find mainly tall oaks, beeches, holly, broad buckler-fern, and Eurasian Solomon's seal.
