Washed away and grown together
East of Langweer is the small town of Boornzwaag, it has actually grown attached to Langweer. Between Langweer and Boornzwaag you cycle along the beautiful Sweachmermolen. Boornzwaag must have been larger in the past, but part of the village was washed away by the water from the Langweerder Wielen.
Shipwreck
In Boornzwaag you take the ferry to the other side, you end up at the edge of the so-called Put van Nederhorst, a sand excavation where diving is possible: there is a fairly deep underwater course with, among other things, a shipwreck where you can dive. You cycle past the pit in the direction of the A7, where you go under twice to get to the other side.
Mûzekamp and Pontdyk
Between the meadows you now cycle through farming area with long fields, called the Mûzekamp. On your right the Gravepoeltje between the bushes. Cross the water of the Fammensrakken and turn left at the end of the road. You are now cycling over the Pontdyk and in a short distance you will cross the Langwarder Feart with a large ferry.
Back to the village
You continue your journey over the Pontdyk, and from the bridge over the Jaansleat you see the village of Langweer appearing again behind the trees. A few more kilometers and then you can relax in one of the cozy restaurants in Langweer.
Prefer to walk
Do you not like cycling or do you think this is just a bit too far? You can also take this route on foot. Or on inline skates, with the e-step or e-chopper...
