Take a look
Woudsend is a village nestled between Lake Heegermeer and Lake Slotermeer.
The location of Woudsend (Frisian: Wâldsein) between two of the Frisian lakes makes it an ideal starting point for your water sports vacation. Additionally, Woudsend is situated along the Elfstedentocht (Eleven Cities Tour) route, so who knows - during the next cold winter, you might see new ice-skating heroes passing by!
In Woudsend, you can wander through narrow alleys, where you'll discover surprising vistas and beautifully restored buildings. You can also visit one of the churches or the two mills: sawmill 'de Jager' and corn mill 't Lam. During the summer vacation, a Farmers' Market is organized every Thursday, featuring various local products and fun activities for young and old.
