In Museum De Tiid, you can plug into the history of Súdwest-Fryslân, become a part of it, and make history yourself. De Tiid is a place where you can harness the power of many partners working together.

Museum De Tiid tells the story of the unique history and identity of this ancient region. In the halls of the monumental town hall complex, the past comes to life in special collection presentations and remarkable key figures such as Titus Brandsma, Gysbert Japicx, and Trijntje Hilarides. In the new permanent exhibition, visitors are presented with dilemmas related to that shared history. How do contemporary South Frisians view their history? Was Grutte Pier a savior or a robber? Furthermore, you'll learn all about one of the most beautiful town halls in the Netherlands, and your visit is not complete without a visit to the famous tower attic.
